The Ashland Culinary Festival celebrates its tenth year with an Ultimate Top Chef Dinner, a six-course meal prepared by previous Top Chef winners of festivals past. In addition, the weekend event includes workshops, tastings and a mixology competition, held at various locations in Ashland.

Cannon Beach’s 29th annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival is a weekend of gallery events, musical performances, live art-making and more. Several events take place at various locations around town, and many of them are free. Highlights this year are Grammy-nominated blues singer Ellen Whyte and the Dancing in the Rain Fashion Show.
Wordstock: Portland’s Book Festival | Portland | November 5
Bring out your inner word-nerd at this celebration of literary arts. Wordstock, held at the Portland Art Museum, brings in authors to speak and discuss, concerts, pop-up readings and an extensive book fair.
Silver Falls Trail Runs | Silverton | November 5-6
The scenic Silver Falls State Park hosts a series of challenging trail runs, including a 7-miler, a half-marathon, a marathon and a 50k ultra-marathon. Though races are sold out, spectators are welcome. Proceeds from the event go to Silver Falls State Park.
Holiday Farmers Market | Eugene | November 19-December 18
Eugene’s taste for the local in represented in its farmers markets, and the winter weather doesn’t stop inhabitants from buying locally. This seasonal market features holiday-themed gifts and decor, along with the traditional produce offered year-round.

Christmas in the Garden | Silverton | November 25-January 1
Each year, The Oregon Garden strings over 400,000 lights in its Rediscovery Forest to celebrate the holiday season with Christmas in the Garden. Attractions include a traditional German Christmas market, ice skating and gluhwein to sip while the children take photos with Santa.
