1859 photographer Joni Kabana frequently teaches street portrait classes in which participants learn about composition, lighting and various approaches to portraiture.  The class then ventures out onto streets to find willing subjects.  The following portraits were taking by a recent class on Hawthorne Boulevard in Portland.
