Millennium Building Services (MBS) is a cleaning and maintenance company with a focus on sustainable practices. MBS services more than 1,000 customers in the Portland Metro area, and has been washing windows at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel for twenty-five years.

“At these hospitals, things are not so bright all the time,” said Sparks. “We want to throw a little bit of sunshine their way.”

Window cleaning manager Albert Bernal proposed that MBS window washers dress the part during the holidays at local children’s hospitals, including Randall and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

For the past three years, four window washers have dressed up as Santa (pictured here: MBS employee, Jason Kirk) and his elves each December. “They really play the part,” said MBS president, Bill Sparks. “They go inside to chat with the kids and take pictures for an hour. Everyone gets a kick out of it.”
