La Ruta PDX presents a Turkish breakfast feast at PLAZA DEL TORO inspired by the Toro Bravo Inc Restaurant Group team’s recent trip to Istanbul. Restaurateur John Gorham (Toro Bravo Inc.), Chef Kasey Mills (Mediterranean Exploration Company, Shalom Y’all), Chef Michael Kessler (PLAZA DEL TORO), and Chef Stephanie Arnet (Mediterranean Exploration Company) tasted through Istanbul after Gorham led a 10-day La Ruta PDX culinary trip to Spain with ten guest travelers while Chef Mills and his culinary team explored the culture and cuisine of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel. Gorham, Mills, and Kessler will present a menu inspired by the culmination of their two weeks of culinary adventures abroad this October. Bar Director Jamal Hassan (Mediterranean Exploration Company, Shalom Y’all, Bless Your Heart Burgers) will create a cocktail menu to complement the cuisine. Chef Arnet will teach our audience about the culture of Turkish coffee and do a Turkish coffee reading. Brothers of the Baladi will perform live Middle Eastern music.

Tickets include family-style breakfast, Turkish tea, Turkish coffee, pomegranate juice, Turkish sherbet and gratuity. Does not include additional beverages or beverage gratuity. Full bar and wine list available for purchase. Doors and passed appetizers at 11am, breakfast promptly at 11:30am. PLAZA DEL TORO is located at 105 SE Taylor in Portland.
