High Desert Museum

Prepare to be wowed! Encounter otters, porcupines, a bobcat, reptiles and other wildlife close up. See birds of prey in flight. Visit the Miller Family Ranch and chat about frontier life from characters who are stuck in the past. See their livestock, chickens and a 1904 sawmill. Ever-changing indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as permanent exhibits on Native American history and culture and frontier life. Set on 135 beautiful, forested acres. Daily wildlife programs, nature walks and exhibit tours. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Where wild meets the West!
