Retiring in style is easy at these new Oregon retirement facilities

PORTLAND

Retirees in the Portland area will have a new option when Touchmark in the West Hills opens this summer. The community will have two lodges—one with 130 one- and two-bedroom independent living units, and another with 146 units that will provide memory care and other assisted living options. In 2019, the community will add single-family and “garden homes,” which will be two-story buildings with four units, two on each floor and with an elevator. The facility will also feature several dining options and a health and fitness club with a heated indoor pool.

LAKE OSWEGO

In Lake Oswego, Mary’s Woods is expanding. The Village at Mary’s Woods is scheduled to open in November 2018 and will add 198 apartments and forty-eight assisted living suites, as well as a fitness and wellness center, several dining options and a community center.

REDMOND

For those in Central Oregon, Juniper Springs Senior Living is expected to open in Redmond in the fall. The Compass Senior Living community, which will offer independent, assisted and memory care options, and floor plans range from 240 square feet to 1,101 square feet. The facility will offer yoga and aromatherapy among other programs.

CENTRAL POINT

Compass Senior Living is also opening a facility in Central Point this fall. Pear Valley Senior Living will offer assisted living, memory care and respite care and ten unit options that top out at 604 square feet. The project will include sixty assisted living units and twenty-four memory care units.
