Portland is known as the hub of pioneering Oregon music. Four hours south, in Medford, one of the most innovative acts in the state breaks that stereotype. The Seaons are a force—pure and simple. Composed of four energetic songwriters, this band performs their own brand of indie-rock that will kick you off the edge of your seat, and beg you to get up and dance. While the band and its members are young, the maturity in their songwriting speaks volumes beyond their collective 100 years. Frontman Sean Siders is joined by lead guitarist Micah McCaw, multi-instrumentalist Alex Detweiler and bassist Grayson Phelps. The interplay is palpable when each member is in a room creating music. They won the Southern Oregon Battle of the Bands in 2013, and now are on the heels of their confident debut album release, Sun Gun. Their angular indie-rock moves at a rapid pace and changes at every turn, yet is approachable and leads you down an exciting path. No doubt The Seaons will soon be a household name at this rate. Catch their energy at one of their uninhibited live performances in Southern Oregon.
