Try a twist on something you already know how to do. It’s a win-win: a great meal with little risk of culinary disaster in front of your sweetie. For dinner, here’s an updated take on the classic American cheeseburger, featuring roasted garlic and gorgonzola. For dessert, a recipe for a honey and apple cake from Celilo Restaurant and Bar in Hood River provides just the right amount of sweetness.
