Mezza Luna Pizzeria

New York-style pizza available by the slice or in full pie. This low-key spot offers tons of options, including plenty of vegetarian pizzas, like the Stinky Garden—spinach, mushrooms, gorgonzola and mozzarella cheeses on a garlic and olive oil base. Gluten-free slices, as well as salads and calzones the size of your head, are also available.

American Dream

This funky top spot has been around (and popular) since 1989 and these days has two Corvallis locations, three cocktail bars and a sister brewery (Sky High Brewing). The Corvegas has pesto, pepperoni, roasted red peppers and artichokes topped with fresh mozzarella, or go full veg with the Bill Walton—mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, red onions, fresh tomatoes and zucchini. Bonus: spiked slushies at the on-site cocktail bars.

Apizza Scholls

Portlanders know this is the spot for the best slice in the city—it’s on pretty much every publication’s “best of” list. Apizza Scholls may be one of the best pizzas in the Pacific Northwest, with Neapolitan-style pies and perfect thin crust cooked hot and fast. Apizza Scholls often runs out of its signature dough and limits diners to three toppings. Trust us, the rules are worth it.
