Black Butte Ranch is an idyllic 1800 acres community nestled among mature Ponderosa forests, lush stands of Aspen, and pristine meadows and lakes. Here you will have breathtaking views of seven Cascade Mountain peaks, meandering horses and cattle, not to mention our namesake – Black Butte itself.
The Ranch features six pools, two recreation centers, tennis courts in five locations, horseback riding, fine dining, casual pub and bistro, full service spa and fitness center, and of course two championship 18-hole golf courses (all subject to seasonal hours and closures). You can be as active as you want, or simply relax and unwind.

If it is a winter getaway you have in mind, Black Butte Ranch offers on-ranch snow-shoeing and cross country skiing on our trails and golf courses (required a minimum of 6” of snow). We are a short 30 minute drive to the family-friendly Hoodoo Ski Area offering terrain to satisfy all levels of skiers and the infamous Autobahn sledding hill (you have to try it). Just 1-1/2 hours southeast of the Ranch is Mt. Bachelor, Central Oregon’s premier ski resort, with a seasonal snowfall of 578 inches.
To finish off a full day of winter fun, take a soak in one of two outdoor hot tubs or enjoy a warm winter libation by the fire pit at the Lakeside.

Hello! I am Carrie Benham and my parents, Tom and Betsy Cosgrove used your company for many years for our family reunions. We were always sooooooooooooo pleased. Before my mother passed she requested that we have her memorial in Black Butte with our entire family. We are honoring her request and are having a memorial reunion in her honor on the dates 07/25/2020-08/01/2020. A few members of the group have already booked their home throughout the Glaze Meadow area. We’d love to be there too…but have a need for 6 bedrooms…possibly 5 if an air mattress would fit somewhere comfortably. Anything you could do to help me find a home would be greatly appreciated.
