Oui! Wine Bar + Restaurant
A few steps off Portland’s trendy Division Street, Southeast Wine Collective’s urban winery has always been known for its delectable bar bites. In December, founders Thomas Monroe and Kate Norris took things one step further, debuting their new wine-centric restaurant, Oui! Chef Althea Grey Potter’s beautiful, local-ingredient-driven fare shifts with the season, but it’s impossible to go wrong with the juicy, golden-skinned roast chicken with crispy potatoes, capers and fines herbes aioli. Or, leave the dining decisions to the kitchen, and request the family-style tasting menu, a steal at $35 per person.

Spring getaways on the Oregon Coast are best punctuated by crackling fires, misty morning beach walks and cozy suppers in twinkling cedar-shingled cottages such as the one inhabited by this rustic-chic Cannon Beach charmer. A passion project of Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters founder Jane Harding, the coffee and housewares shop evolved into a full restaurant last spring, featuring chef Nate Beckland’s well-rounded menu of robust classics like the tender chicken paillard topped with fennel, green olives and raisins, and served in a pool of walnut pesto polenta.

Black Wolf Supper Club
From much-loved food cart to bustling brick and mortar, this Cajun-inspired Eugene eatery is known for its fried chicken and waffles. In the new space, everyone’s favorite feathered fowl comes in myriad forms, from drumsticks with sauce piquant, to tasso and chicken pho, to habañero-rubbed chicken tamales. Were you to stray from poultry, however, nobody would complain about the crab beignets or confit spareribs. And yes, the late-night menu still sports the trademark wing ‘n’ waffle, with fresh mint, maple syrup and hot honey butter.

Luna Cafe + Mercantile
If you’re rolling through Southern Oregon on the annual Easter road trip with famished family in tow, this hip and cheery 1970s-style diner and mini-market is just a stone’s throw off I-5, set in the retro-style Ashland Hills Hotel. Highlighting Oregon farms and artisans, the unfussy menu has something for everyone—grilled cheese sandwiches and Rogue root beer floats for the kids, who will be further delighted when allowed to eat on a cushy rattan settee. The signature herb-brined rotisserie chicken with herb relish is for the adults, who will be further delighted when allowed to order a pint of local beer or Lunar Eclipse cocktail from the full bar.
