Ever since my family moved to Hood River when I was 12, I’ve been captivated by its beauty. I fell in love with photography at age 18 and haven’t looked back. Hood River was a perfect setting to discover and refine my photography skills. After a decade and tens of thousands of slides and digital images, I created beautifulhoodriver.com, where I post my favorite images from the entire Columbia Gorge area.

The diversity of the area often leads to places that have not yet been discovered. Hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, paddling, boating and flying are just some of the ways I seek the best images. Some of these images I captured while backpacking, some I practically took from my backyard with a cup of coffee in one hand and a camera in the other. Enjoy.
