Pedigree is not the point as this fun day at the beach truly celebrates man’s best friend. Not to be confused with a traditional dog show, the Annual Surfsand Resort Dog Show on the Beach will include a raffle, hot “dog” roast, and more than 20 canine categories ranging from best costume to obstacle course.

Located on leash-free Cannon Beach, the Surfsand Resort nails home-away-from-homed with its canine touches, which include a welcome board announcing each pet’s arrival, and a basket with pet bed, towel, sheet, placemat, doggie bags and food/water bowls. The resort’s Four-Paws Cookie Jar is stocked daily with tasty doggie treats, and a warm water foot and paw wash is located near the property’s beachfront path.

Registration starts at 9am.

$10 per dog.
