From the sweet deliciousness of Puffle Waffle mania, to the unique spices and flavors served up by the top-rated Black Star Grill, the new Bite of Oregon is delivering sweet and savory tastes for every palate. At its new home at the Rose Quarter, top chefs, wines, craft beer and spirits and fine foods featuring Oregon products from around the state are being served up Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-4. And The Bite couldn’t be easier to attend: the festival is steps away from MAX trains, bus lines, the Portland Streetcar and CTRAN. Guests can also walk over, bike down (with bike parking) or load up the family and drive in with reduced rate garage parking of just $5.

The 2017 Bite of Oregon will feature some of the most creative restaurants and food carts, award-winning wineries, distilleries and the renowned Oregon Craft Beer Garden pouring from the best breweries and cider houses. Also not to be missed is the culinary magic of Iron Chef Oregon presented by Pacific Power where prize winning chefs will compete before a live audience to take home the title of Iron Chef.

Food isn’t just for eating, but also for competing. This year watch top food cart chefs showcase their skills during the Food Cart Cook-off hosted by Steven Shomler, culinary personality and author of Portland Food Cart Stories and Portland Beer Stories. Not content to stand and watch? Get in on the action and enter to compete in the official Major League Hot Dog Eating Contest presented by Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs on Monday, Sept. 4. From fun and excitement to delectable dishes to sample, the new Bite of Oregon will have you savoring the seven regions of Oregon.
