Justus Krumbein was one of Oregon’s most notable 19th century architects. His three-decade career included designs for the second State Capitol and some of Portland’s most elaborate commercial and residential architecture.  His famous Kamm and Ladd Blocks are featured in “Parting Shots: Minor White’s Images of POrtland, 1938-1942” exhibit at the Architectural Heritage Center.
