DESCRIPTION:Portland area dog lovers\, kids\, Kleenex\, and cameras are wel
 come every other Saturday at Guide Dogs for the Blind’s heartwarming pub
 lic graduation ceremonies at the organization’s campus in Boring.\n\nThe
 se public events honor the independence and companionship that GDB’s e
 xceptional guide dogs provide for the people they will serve\, but they a
 lso allow GDB clients to meet the committed puppy raisers who cared for t
 heir canine heroes until they were old enough to begin formal training at
  the campus. Graduation day public tours of the campus are offered at 10:
 30 a.m. or noon on the days of the ceremonies. Pre-registered large tour 
 groups are also welcome.\n\nGuide Dogs for the Blind is more than an indus
 try-leading guide dog school\; it is a passionate community that serves th
 e visually impaired. GDB prepares highly qualified guide dogs to serve and
  empower individuals who are blind or have low vision. All of its services
  are provided free of charge. GDB receives no government funding. Graduati
 ons allow puppy raisers to present the dogs that they raised\, and bring t
 ogether the community with the GDB Class of ’17 and with the families an
 d friends of graduates and puppy raisers.\n\nShow up at GDB’s campus a f
