The board of Gorge Artists is pleased to announce dates for the 2018 Open Studios Tour: April 20, 21, 22, 2018, from 10am to 5pm. The upcoming tour marks the twelfth annual tour event, which was established to build community, promote the arts, and provide opportunities for the public to experience and enjoy art in The Columbia River Gorge.
The artist roster for 2018 features a variety of work including painting, drawing, jewelry, glass, sculpture, photography, textiles, fiber, and more. Artists’ studios are located throughout the Mid-Columbia from Cascade Locks to The Dalles and from Parkdale, Oregon to Trout Lake, Washington.
Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour is a juried event, with artists representing the highest quality work available from the region. It is timed with Blossom Festival to welcome many out-of-town visitors seeking a taste of spring and inspiration.
The tour is free and self-guided. Detailed maps are available at gorgeartists.org and at area Chambers of Commerce, Art on Oak in Hood River, and The Dalles Art Center.
