— Baked Alaska—
From opening two hit restaurants in his hometown Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to studying under classically trained chefs in Austria and Southeast Asia, Chef Badr Fayez has traveled the globe in search of culinary inspiration. Chef Fayez aims to introduce the Arabian cuisine to new places, so now he makes his way to Astoria, Oregon where he will be working with Baked Alaska’s owner Chef Holen to create a selection of appetizers fusing the classic tastes of the Arabian Peninsula with the fresh ingredients of Northwest Oregon. Chef Fayez will prepare these unique dishes in front of guests and share some personal stories about his exciting life and career working to bring a culture of fine dining to his home country. After the cooking demonstration, guests will sample the cuisine and participate in a Q&A session with Chef Fayez. This event is free and open to the public, and will include food and beverages.
