11/18/2017 - 11/19/2017
The cat-adoring city of Portland is set to welcome the CFA International Cat Show for the first time this fall. On November 18 and 19, more than 800 cats from around the world and thousands of exhibitors and spectators — from places as far away as Russia, China and Japan — will convene at the Portland Expo Center to celebrate the biggest stage in cat competition. A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit Cat Adoption Team.
The cats will be met with an enthusiastic fan base, as Oregon has been named fourth on the list for cat ownership across the country. On both days, a local and cat-loving community icon will take the stage. Moshow “The Cat Rapper,” along with his band of felines, will be performing to get the crowd energized for the grand finale — the announcement of Best in Show.
WHAT: The CFA International Cat Show will usher in more than 800 pedigreed cats — from the rare to the ordinary — and household cats from around the world into 16 judging rings in Portland, Ore. for two days of competition, to determine the winners for each category, and ultimately, Best in Show. Along with the competition, guests can get an insider’s scoop with show hall tours, cat agility spectacles and get up close with a petting corral. Vendors will be on hand with the largest amount of cat supplies, gifts and accessories that you will see in one place.
