Baby It’s Cold Outside at Artistic Portland at First Thursday Gallery Art Walk—January 4, 2018, 4-6 p.m.
Artistic Portland understands that “Baby It’s Cold Outside” at the January 4, 2018 First Thursday Art Gallery Art Walk 4-6 pm. There will be many fiber artists on display as well as art and craft from other disciplines. Members of the Co-op will be present to talk about their latest artful creations and encourage visitors to express their own creativity by painting a ceramic bisque bowl between 2-6 pm. All supplies will be provided by the art co-op. After firing the glazed bowls will be available for $10 with all proceeds going to the nonprofit Sisters of the Road Cafe in Old Town Portland. The cafe has been helping to feed the underserved in Portland for 39 years.
Beer and coffee will be offered during this First Thursday’s event and are sponsored by local brewery Royale Brewing Company and nearby coffee shop Café Ponté. Café Ponté is now sponsoring coffee tasters every Monday at Artistic Portland to help warm and wake up shoppers.
Pianist John Gilmore will add to the ambiance with live piano music.
Artistic Portland is an Artists’ Co-operative that reflects the legendary, rich and thriving PDX art scene located at 318 SW Taylor Street in the heart of downtown Portland.
Extended holiday hours: Now through Christmas Eve: Monday-Saturday 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Sundays same 12-5; Christmas Eve 11-4.
