Experience Authentic Oregon at the Northwest Cherry Festival
– The Dalles, Oregon will host the 40th annual event April 27-28 –

Bring the whole family and head to The Dalles for the 40th Annual Northwest Cherry Festival. A longtime favorite among locals and visitors alike, the festival is set in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and showcases The Dalles’ deep agricultural heritage. The Northwest Cherry Festival takes place in downtown The Dalles from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28, 2019. The 2019 theme: “Follow the Cherry Brick Road.”
The three action-packed days include numerous family-friendly events, including the Gorge’s largest parade – featuring the Cherry Festival Royalty with King Bing and Queen Anne, who are crowned that morning – a classic car show, a lip sync contest and great local music. There’s also cherry sampling with the Oregon Cherry Growers, and a carnival with fun rides for all, plus an orchard job fair for the upcoming season.
“The Northwest Cherry Festival is like nothing else in the Gorge, and is such a fun way to celebrate our authentic agricultural roots,” said Lisa Farquharson, President/CEO of The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce. “We also invite attendees to explore springtime in The Dalles and the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area have to offer, from scenic cycling, incredible wildflower hikes, and fishing, to exploring the area’s rich cultural and natural histories.”
The Dalles is just 75-minutes from Portland and Yakima, 2.5 hours’ drive from Bend and the Tri Cities.
