The 25th annual Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights runs nightly November 19-January 1 at River Forks Park, 6 miles west of Roseburg, Oregon. Spectacular drive-through experience offers 500,000 lights, 90 displays, and World’s Largest Nutcracker. Hours are 5:30-9pm Sunday through Thursday, 5:30-10pm Friday and Saturday. Admission $10 per car. Holiday Village with Santa is open nightly at Helleck Hall through December 24 with free admission. Wagon rides ($5 per person) available Friday and Saturday nights.
Festival begins with performance of “The Nutcracker Ballet” by the Eugene Ballet at 3 pm Sunday, November 19, at Jacoby Auditorium, Umpqua Community College. The performance includes 48 local dance students. Tickets are $15 in advance, available at Northwest Lifestyles, 445 SE Jackson, Roseburg, beginning November 1, or $18 at the door.
