To celebrate the 175th anniversary of those who came before us, this year you can hike among the wagon wheel ruts and visit the interpretive centers. But you can also celebrate a new Oregon Trail––the Oregon Tasting Trail.
These days, winsome Oregon pubs and breweries set a very high standard. The challenge, now, is determining where to nd the most memorable experiences. No doubt we’ve all had many good times with a great beer in our hand, and we have both our regular hangouts and our special reserve list of must-visit places we share with our friends. But if we were to play our highlight reel, which of these experiences bubble to the surface?
Retirees in the Portland area will have a new option when Touchmark in the West Hills opens this summer. The community will have two lodges—one with 130 one- and two-bedroom independent living units, and another with 146 units that will provide memory care and other assisted living options. In 2019, the community will add single-family and “garden homes,” which will be two-story buildings with four units, two on each floor and with an elevator. The facility will also feature several dining options and a health and fitness club with a heated indoor pool.
